From Forge to Front Door
Chaakuu began in a small workshop with a single forge and a passion for the ancient art of pattern-welded steel. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a calling — preserving the centuries-old technique of folding and forging high-carbon steels into blades with both stunning visual patterns and exceptional performance.
Today, every knife, axe, and sword that leaves our workshop is still made the same way it was on day one: by hand, with no shortcuts. Our artisans combine traditional forging methods with modern heat-treating science to produce blades that are as durable as they are beautiful.

Our Craftsmanship Process
Forging
Layers of high-carbon 1095 and 15N20 steel are heated and hammer-welded together, building the signature Damascus pattern one fold at a time.
Shaping
Each billet is hand-shaped into its final blade profile by master artisans, then ground and refined to a precise edge geometry.
Finishing
Blades are heat-treated for hardness, etched to reveal the Damascus pattern, polished, and fitted with hand-carved handles and bolsters.
Quality Control
Every piece is inspected for balance, sharpness, and finish before it's paired with a hand-stitched leather sheath and shipped to you.
